Hi My Name is Jazzmin Perez. Diamond in the raw has been a blessing in my life. I have experienced a lot. Being in the Diamond in The Raw Foundation I have experienced being on a commercial set. While on the set, they gave me an opportunity to do a stunt. I was a bike rider on the beach. I felt like a star being on the commercial. It was unexpected. It made me realize being on Tv is where I want to be. Becoming a model an actress.

The Diamond In The Raw Foundation gave us an opportunity to win a scholarship. I wrote an essay about my life, and ended up winner a lot with a few others. I didn’t think I would win, but I did, and it made me feel proud of myself. The scholarship went towards my modeling pictures. So I was able to get my head shots out of the way and payed for. I am blessed and thankful for this wonderful opportunity and experience everything Diamond in the Raw has done for me.

“Thank You Ms. Baker for allowing me to participate in the Diamond in the Raw foundation. The foundation has open doors that I may have missed if I were to be on my own.”

Gang Alternative Program

On Monday, I had the fun experience of meeting a lot of famous people on the set of Janky Promoters a new Ice Cube movie. I actually was really grateful that Kelli picked me to go on this trip because I enjoyed myself very much. My favorite part was seeing Lil JJ rap, but unfortunately he was booed off the stage by the crowd but I guess that was a part of making a movie or video. I was able to hear all about the other workers experiences and why they loved their jobs. I also liked taking pictures with them, that’s always fun. Next time I’ll ask a lot of more questions about the types of jobs in this industry because it sort of inspired me to do this type of work when I get older.
