Michelle D. Davis
Entertainment Marketing Professional

 Michelle Davis is a part of the marketing management team at Vivendi Entertainment; a Universal City based DVD and video game Distribution Company handling some of the top brands in entertainment.  In her capacity, Michelle manages Home Entertainment releases for The Weinstein Company, RHI Entertainmant, WWE and other well-known studios.  These releases include films and television programs including The Great Debaters starring Denzel Washington and Forrest Whitaker; The Reader starring Academy Award® winning actress Kate Winslet; and Emmy nominated series Project Runway featuring supermodel Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn.   

Prior to joining Vivendi Entertainment, Michelle was a marketing professional at Genius Products, LLC located in Santa Monica Paramount Pictures.  There she was Michelle took a step outside of her film experience and had an opportunity to play an integral role in the marketing strategy development of a new property; a video game named Scratch: The Ultimate DJ; a hip hop-based music/rhythm game which is being co-produced by Quincy “QD3” Jones III.   

Michelle's career began at the historical Paramount Pictures Studio located in Hollywood, California.  There she spent 5 years within the home entertainment division honing her skills in marketing and becoming a recognized leader of her department.  Michelle even received the “Share the Vision Award”, which is an award that gives company-wide recognition to those employees who have worked to achieve greatness and who strive to meet the mission of the historic studio.  She was also an active member of both the Paramount Diversity Committee and the Paramount Studio Club.  

A graduate of State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook; Michelle holds her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and is currently in the process of obtaining her Master in Business Administration degree with a concentration in Marketing from the University of Phoenix.  Michelle strives to be a hard worker and a leader to her peers not only in her professional life but also in her personal life.  Philanthropy is a goal of Michelle’s and she dreams to be able to give opportunity and mentorship to young people following in her footsteps.  A strong supporter and believer in the importance of higher education, she is a proud volunteer with both the Florida A&M University Alumni Association and the UNCF Inter-Alumni Council.
