Cheryl entered Hofstra University studying computer science and mathematics. Then the performer side of her took over. She graduated from Hofstra with a degree in Communications (Film Study) and a minor in dance. As a dancer, she has toured the country (performing in every state except for two) dancing with modern dance companies, in musicals, on cruise ships & live stage shows. Cheryl has danced in operas at the Washington National Opera, The New York City Opera & originated the character of Inamorata in The Metropolitan Opera’s production of Benvenuto Cellini. Upon the recommendation of some former Cirque du Soile performer, Cheryl found herself in Osaka, Japan for 2008, where she performed as aerialist/stunts in a new show at Universal Studios Japan. Cheryl was one of only three aerialists from the USA in the show and was the only female aerialist to perform two different tracks; aerial rope, trapeze, silks & danced. While in Japan, Cheryl put her free time to good use by training in Kendo & Wushu and even climbed Mt. Fuji. Back in the States, Cheryl works in film & television as a stuntwoman/action actor. A high-fall through a skylight, thrown to the ground & being covered with glass and debris after an explosion or falling down some stairs are all in a days’ work. Always performing, training, learning new skills & improving old ones; she added Tae Kwon Do & Kung Fu to her list of martial arts training and she continues her work in the Stunt Lab, where she trains, does some rigging & test flying systems. |
